Unit 207 Board Officers
Roles and Responsibilities

NAP Coordinator (continued)

NAP (North American Pairs) events are staged in stratified qualifying rounds at the club, unit and district levels. The national competition final is held at the Spring NABC.
The NAP Coordinator also:

Identify Director for Event
Pick a director and work out the target date. Kevin Perkins has run the Unit 207 NAP final event in the past. Check with Kevin first. If Kevin is not available, contact the District NAP coordinator (Roxana Tom) and/or the ACBL.

Schedule Site for Unit final

The site for the 207 NAP Final has been and will likely continue to be the BCA. After Kevin determines his available dates, consult the BCA Club manager (Mark McAllister) to reserve the BCA. If there are choices of dates, consider intangibles such as City of Austin events, UT football games, etc.

Communicate Plans

Send the date, location, and director selections to the ACBL. Include the type of event (flights A, B and C, in this case) and number of sessions (2). List yourself as tournament contact. Inform the District NAP Coordinator (Roxanna Tom), Unit president, director, and BCA manager. Ask the Unit Webmaster (Ken MacMorran) to post the date and required information on the Unit website.

Determine Club Qualifiers

After the Club qualification events have finished, ask each club manager or director for a copy of the file that the club sent to the ACBL identifying the qualifiers. Combine the club lists and remove ACBL numbers and other unwanted data. Send the names of the club qualifiers to the Unit Webmaster (Ken McMorran).

Conditions of Contest

Download the Conditions of Contest for the current NAP season from the ACBL website and be familiar with that document.
